Keeping your customers and staff safe

We all want to get back to a level of normality as quickly as possible. But to do this, we need to feel protected. To help, we’ve developed a range of social distancing solutions and useful resources to help you comply with the latest measures and get your business moving again.

Complete your EPOS health check

This will most likely be the first time your EPOS system has been idle for an extended period, so to help your business get back up and running as smoothly as possible, we’ve produced a quick CEG EPOS Health Check.

Included in your Health Check are instructions to help you clean your system correctly.

Click & Collect and Delivery

With the government relaxing rules on providing a takeaway service, it’s now easier than ever before to shift your business focus to meet the rising demand and get back to serving your loyal customers.

We’ve partnered with Preoday - a pre-ordering and ‘click and collect’ solution - to help get any company that wants online ordering, up and running within 48 hours. The system integrates with your existing website and lets customers order food and drink at their convenience.

New 'Order to Table' solution

In addition to Click & Collect and Delivery solutions, our partnership with Preoday means we can now offer a new ‘Order to Table’ solution to help businesses in the hospitality sector comply with social distancing requirements when they reopen.

There’s now no need for customers to queue! With our new solution, customers can easily order, pay and receive their food or drink, all without leaving their tables.

Government guide to getting your business 'customer ready'

Updated guidance has been published on how hairdressers, hotels, pubs and other businesses in England can reopen safely from 4 July.

It includes advice to reconfigure seating, minimise self-service, cancel live acts and stagger arrivals.

Protective screens for POS

Manufactured in the UK, our robust protective screens are made of plexiglass and are designed to help reduce the transmission of contagious, airborne germs commonly spread by coughing or sneezing.

The visible barrier allows for face-to-face interaction while still maintaining social distancing, providing the ideal solution for retail and hospitality settings. They’re available as a tri-fold or single panel with window size options, allowing for the safe exchange of product, food or payment. The sturdy, ‘no-tip’ solution is portable and can fully collapse for storage.

Size:

Countertop screen - 2000mm x 930mm

Tri-panel countertop - Each panel is 930mm high x 730 mm wide, with a variable depth using included hardware of 32mm – 64mm or 114mm gap at base. Overall length when straightened is 2000mm wide.

Reminder! Contactless card limit increased

The spending limit for contactless card payments has been increased from £30 to £45.

The changes were already under consideration by the industry, but the process has been expedited as part of the industry’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak to support consumers who choose to pay using contactless at this time.

What our customers are saying...

"Well! We are into day 2 of going "live" with Preoday. Preoday is integrated into our current EPOS Cunningham's system, Quantum. The takeaway orders are coming in all the time. In the current climate, this takeaway service is vital.

Once we were set up, and got used to the new way of working, it is serving us really well. Cunningham's support has been fantastic, especially Gary Worton. Preoday gave us online training and have responded quickly to our questions.

The fact that that the Preoday software uses our current EPOS system was the deal maker for us."
